Rowdy by Jay Crownover - Review

After the only girl he ever loved told him that he would never be enough, Rowdy St. James knocked the Texas dust off his boots and set out to live up to his nickname. A good ol’ boy looking for good times and good friends, Rowdy refuses to take anything too seriously, especially when it comes to the opposite sex. Burned by love once, he isn’t going to let himself trust a woman again. But that’s before his new co-worker arrives, a ghost from the past who’s suddenly making him question every lesson he ever learned.

Salem Cruz grew up in house with too many rules and too little fun—a world of unhappiness she couldn’t wait to forget. But one nice thing from childhood has stayed with her; the memory of the sweet, blue-eyed boy next door who’d been head over heels in love with her little sister.

Now, fate and an old friend have brought her and Rowdy together, and Salem is determined to show him that once upon a time he picked the wrong sister. A mission that is working perfectly—until the one person that ties them together appears, threatening to tear them apart for good.

Review

I finished this book yesterday and I hav to say I'm so happy.
This book was everything I wasn't ready for, but I needed.
I was expecting a love triangle and I hate love triangles (Thank Christ it wasn't one).
The story is about fate. About two people finding each other after many years apart. About trusting one another with everything, their lives, their love, more importantly their hearts.
I'm a sucker for second chances and this incredicle human called Jay Crownover was able to creat such a beautiful heartfell story for this beautiful characters.
This book was never boring. When you think you know what is going to happen...BOOM! Another thing happens that is going to blow your mind off how goos it is.
I started reading this yesterday and I couldn't put it down for a second and when I really had to put down I was always thinking about "What next?"
It's so good to see that still exisr author like Jay Crownover.

Mind blowing this book!!
Go buy it!

"Crush" Monday!

Okay. I been gone a long time. Don't blame be, blame college!

I think it's time for another Crush Monday.

Today I'm gonna present you with Maddox Locke.

Well, Maddox is an Alpha male. He helped all his friens finding love, but doen'st believe in it (i think that deep inside he believes in love, if he didn't we wouldn't have helped the others finding it).
He's strong, protective, alluring, a really good guy, but he's reserved, not letting anyone close, until....(you have to read the book to know. d;).
This way of his is truly powerful and mysterious attractive.

Feeling like a proud mother here!

Deacon by Kristen Ashley - Review

Review

I just finished reading Deacon by Kristen Ashley and I'm utterly without words. I loved all books written by Kristen, but this one was just perfect.
When I read books that are this good, I real believe that God exists, and Kristen Ashley can make feel like this every single time.
Kristen Ashley or should I call her "The Magic Maker", has the power to creat such beautiful stories. when you start reading some of her books, you never get bored, you cannot put the book down and the story gets to you, always, no matter what.
Kristen Ashley has the power to creat characters that when they have a glimpse of your soul, they grab it to dear life, never letting go.
This happen with Deacon and Cassie.
They both have a pull towards each other, the problem is Deacon fighting it with everything he has. Deacon has demons the size of the iceberg that sank Titanic or even bigger. When he meets Cassie, even if he doen't know it, Cassie is going to fight his demons with her light, her cute self, her bossy nature and her stubbornness.
The way Cassie accepts him, makes the world brighter. She knows that is something darker hiden inside Deacon, but that doesn't stop her to keeping fighting for him.
This books is about trust. Cassie has to trust Deacon when he leaves for his "job" and Deacon has to trust Cassie with his heart and demons.
When I finished this book, felt like every little detail was right.
This book is Plain Magic!

Trashy by Cambria Hebert - Review

She’s trying to move on, but the past won’t let her go.
I fell in love once.

It was a big mistake, but the biggest mistake of all was staying with him.

He pushed me around. He cheated and treated me like trash.

I don’t feel sorry for myself, because I let him.

But no more.

I moved out. I'm saving my stripper's salary for an education that will get me somewhere better.

But breaking the chains of a shitty past isn’t easy. He says I owe him. He says we aren’t done. I don’t care what he says anymore.

I do care about Adam.

But my history tells me I’m not the best judge of men. And the fact Adam’s been married four times tells me he probably isn’t a safe choice.
I need safe. I need better. I need out.
If the past is any indication of my future, getting out isn’t going to be easy.

Review

I feel so happy, when I want to read a book so much and he turns out to be SO MUCH better than you're expecting (let's just say that my expections for this book were really high) and as always, Cambria Hebert doesn't disappoint.
I have to be honest, Cambria Hebert is one of my favourites writers (she's so freaking awesome) and the Take It Off series (were this book is the tenth) is awesome. I've read all books and I'm in love.
This book is no difference. I was expecting a book with a LOT of sex, of dirty talking, but I was surprised by it, a really good surprise. This book touches more the emotions of Adam and Roxie.
Despite being a stripper, Roxie is "innocent" when it cames to sex. She's only ever been intimate with Craig (he's a total asshole, he beats her, cheates on her and abuse her verbally. He's a total bastard! ) and  let's say that Craig doesn't hold a candle to Adam. So when it cames to him, she is scared.
Adam is an all alpha male, he's protetive, possessive, bossy, a little bit grumpy and sexy as hell, but there's no denying that he's a big softie when it cames to Roxie. The way he is with her (caring, teasing, passionate) is everything that Roxie needs, but doesn't know it.
This book isn't about all the sexyness that is Adam, but the fragilities that both, Adam and Roxie, have and how they going to overcome them together.

Sweet Home by Tillie Cole - Review

At age of twenty, Molly Shakespeare knows a lot.
She knows Descartes and Kant.

She knows academia and Oxford.

She knows that the people who love you leave you.

She knows how to be alone.

But when Molly leaves England's grey skies behind to start a new life at the University of Alabama, she finds that she has a lot to learn — she didn't know a summer could be so hot, she didn't know students could be so intimidating, and she certainly didn't know just how much the folks of Alabama love their football.

When a chance encounter with notorious star quarterback, Romeo Prince, leaves her unable to think of anything but his chocolate-brown eyes, dirty-blond hair and perfect physique, Molly soon realises that her quiet, solitary life is about to dramatically change forever...

Review

I have to honest, i was expecting to read that typical quarterback story, but I was happily surprised.
This book it's so magnificent. There's no way that the story cannot touch you. It's about two people finding what they never expected in each other.
Molly Shakespeare is a young woman that lost all her faith in love, because the people who love you leave you. She lost more than she can take. One by one, the people that were important to her started to leave. First her mom, then her dad and last her grandma. So she decided to put away her feelings and not get close to people.
Everything changes when she moves from rainy London to sunny Alabama. There she mets Romeo "Bullet" Prince, the famous quarterback.
Rome reputation follows him, the player that gets every girl, but appearances aren't always truthful.
Rome story, in my opinion, is even more dreadful than Molly. It's impossible not love him. His childhood was horrible. the way his parents treat him, with so much hate. And even with so much hate around him, he turn out to be such an amazing guy, loving with so much force. The way he loves Molly, so fully, so passionately brigs tear to my eyes and makes me love him even more (who wouldn't right? d:)
Molly and Rome love is so touching and heartbreaking at the same time. It's their love that makes them heal and start a future together.
Together they gonna confront their demons and hope they can win.

A quote from the book, to show how impossible is not to love Rome.

“A small smile transformed his normally hardened features and he took my hand and ran it across his ribs. "Are they all there?"
I frowned. "What?"
"My ribs. Is there one missin'?
My hand smoothed up and down his sides. "Okay, I think you've lost it. You think you're missing a rib?"
He exhaled a quiet laugh. "Just thought God took one of mine when he made you.”

New Books Coming!

September 12th 2014

Ivan Everley, 13th Baron Rothvale, will tell you himself he's the LAST person on earth who should have custody over a priceless collection of art, but since when does the irony of life ever fall in line with what somebody wants? Ivan might be a Lord according to British law, but he's just a regular guy with an appetite for speed...and women...and some dominating kink in the bedroom. Yeah, just a regular guy who happens have Olympic gold medals stashed away in his house. Riiiight. His public profile is merely a sham--his private life a carefully guarded secret borne out of the pain of betrayal. Even his famous cousin, Ethan Blackstone, doesn't know the whole story about the man he considers a brother.

Lord Ivan has a plethora of problems piled up to his aristocratic eyeballs--that only get more complicated when a beautiful art conservationist shows up to appraise his inherited collection of paintings--but that doesn't stop him from digging himself in deeper. Nope, not a bit. Once Ivan gets a taste of Gabrielle Hargreave, mistaken identity or not, he can't think of anything else but how perfect she felt in his arms the night he first laid his eyes on her.
He wants her, and what Ivan wants, Ivan gets. He is Lord Ivan after all. Gabrielle soon discovers that the Dom in him isn't taking 'no' for an answer. But, yet, Gabrielle Hargreave might just teach our discontent lord a thing or two about life, and about himself, and help them both discover the undeniable truth in what it means to find something genuinely...priceless

It's the first book of the Rothvale legacy series by Raine Miller

He might break her. He also might be her dream come true.

September 29rd 2014
Darkness is the only thing I see. Ever since the day my life changed. The day that everything and everyone I held close to me ceased to exist. The day I lost it all and the demons of my past consumed my every waking moment.

I tried to keep others at arm’s length. Tried not to let my darkness taint them. Ruin them. Harm them. And whether I want to admit it or not, as much as I wish I could keep them locked out, they refuse to leave. Refuse to let me suffer alone.

If I hadn’t been so focused on keeping those demons from flying free, I wouldn’t have missed how one perfect angel was able to sneak her way under my skin—refusing to let go. Making me want things I don’t deserve.

She consumes me. Her beauty knows no end. The love she promises temps me every time she’s near. But that pure heart that makes her MY Emmy is the one thing I’m convinced I’ll destroy if I ever let her close.

I’m a broken man. A broken man with too much darkness in his soul to ever let her light shine upon me. But even that doesn’t stop me from craving her with every single breath in my body.
